Craigs List - Craigslist Tutoring Ads

Craigs List - Craigslist Tutoring AdsAfter paying attention to Craigs List for a while, I started to notice that there were more tutoring ads on Craigslist than I had seen before. What caught my eye was the number of ads where the location was ambiguous, and people were charging extra to come work with you. What were they getting out of this?As a person who offers tutoring, I have always been fair about making sure my rates are competitive. I even offer an additional incentive to individuals that come to me and sign up for my Tutor Webinar. This is a webinar that can be accessed online with just one click of the mouse. It allows you to use your own video camera to capture students' questions and provide answers in real time so that your client can see how good you are as a tutor and pick up some ideas from you. This is a very easy way to get clients and is certainly a no-brainer solution for tutors who would like to keep up with their clientele and look good doing it. People who are w illing to pay more will surely be interested in coming to me because they can watch a short video of a professional tutor and use the results as a guide to whether or not they want to sign up for my Tutor Webinar. While I still provide a reasonable rate for my tutoring services, this ad that popped up on my screen was a first. It was obvious that they had just found someone new to tutor and were trying to grab some money from me.I know that tutoring is an important part of raising a child, and that it is also one of the hardest things to do. In this case, the person renting the apartment was looking for some extra income, which she thought would help her with her child care expenses. The problem was that she had already written me off because she thought that tutoring was not part of her income plan. She assumed that tutoring was something that people did on the side. Obviously, that was not the case, and she needed the money for child care.Fortunately, she called me back and apologiz ed for being so difficult and I was able to remind her of the benefits of my tutoring services. She was willing to drop her rate when she saw that I was willing to continue to be fair about charging my normal rates.Tutoring is an important part of parenting, and it is an even more important part of education. So, if you are thinking about coming to me to tutor, I recommend that you check out my Tutor Webinar to find out if this is an option for you.
